Playing catch during tailgate party

I had a great time at the GA Tech/UGA game! We met some friends for a tailgate party that afternoon. It was about 100 degrees. Mom and Dad kept drinking "to replenish themselves," they said. I was running around eating chips and dip, drinking juice, and playing catch with a boy who would've been a terrific big brother. The game was a lot of fun. We won. The only bad news was that some hoodlums found my well-hidden stroller and trashed it. What a bummer. I've heard of joy rides... but in a stroller?

Ice Cream at the Martin's

Yummy! Daddy's friend, Hugh, invited us over for some pie and ice cream after Thanksgiving. It was super good. We met a lot of people and I was lucky enough to have budding photographer Chris Mitts take my picture. Dad had three pieces of pie (one pecan, two pumpkin). Mom wouldn't disclose how many pieces she had. Said it was none of my business.

Aurbrey turns 3

Watch out! Look at us having fun celebrating Aubrey's third birthday. Here I am checking out Aubrey's new play tent from IKEA (I'm in the middle). It has a funny name that I can't remember. Kinsey is in here too. We had a lot of fun eating cake, kicking the ball, riding around on a cool trike-with-a-handle thing. I can't wait for my third birthday.

Repp's friends from CA

These are two of my best girls, Leila and Rania. We got to hang for the first time this summer when I went to visit them. We had a lot of fun on the swings and eating watermelon in their very nice back yard. Dad tells me that I'll get to see them again this summer. I hope so.

Yummy in my tummy

We had thanksgiving at Bryan and Sharon's house. It was a lot of fun. Many of their friends, and ours, were there too. Tom and Hye-Jin, Mark and Mariam, Morimoto, Bryan's mom, and Bryan's friends from Alabama. The food was awesome--as you can see. I really enjoyed the green beans and Korean pears (with whipped cream).

Mom and dad had fun, too. Mom ate so much that she took a nap while watching football in the downstairs room. Dad ate a lot as well. We are certainly thankful for good food, good friends, and our wonderful folks in Missouri, Virginia and Iowa. Mom says she's especially thankful for her new car!

Don't call me a bonehead

I was goofing off during thanksgiving at Bryan and Sharon's house. They had a lot of toys for me to play with. Even a practical joke bone.

Playing with Parker

I had fun playing with Parker. Most of the the time he wouldn't have anything to do with me until I found his basket of toys. We played tug of war and he would growl. But he was a good and very patient dog. I'm still trying to figure out how to play with dogs.

Repp meets Uga

I got to meet Uga (sounds like bubba) the other night at a football game. Actually, it was a few nights ago. Someone was asleep and I snuck up to the skyboxes with mom and dad for the Georgia/Tennessee game. The first half was great. I fell asleep during the second half...thankfully so. The bulldog is a 50 year tradition. The same family has been entrusted with taking care of him(s)--there have been several of them--since then. Ruff. Ruff.

Mountain Man

My teachers at school went to a conference this past week. I hope they go more often because daddy took me to the mountains. We spent time outside looking at trees, leaves, and bugs. Dad taught me how to touch a bug with a little stick. He encouraged me to be gentle but what fun is that?

We went to one of the many pancake houses our first morning for breakfast. Buttermilk pancakes are very good. As you can see below, we also went to the aquarium. I also tried on a coon-skin cap...just to make dad happy. Who knows how many dirty heads had worn that thing before me.

Shark Attack!

Dad took me to the Shark exhibit at the Gatlinburg Aquarium. You know, I'm really into sharks right now. I have a book that describes all the ferocious sharks, and I saw several of them on our visit. Just look at their teeth! As you can tell, I was a little scared to have that bull shark bearing down on me.

Freedom to roam

Check out my brand new shiny trike!

I'm so excited. Pa pa and Grannie Reichert brought it during their recent visit. It's an early Christmas present. It has all-terrain tires and an adjustable seat. I can't quite get the peddle thing figured out but I'm working on it. There's not an evening that passes that I don't give it a try, but mostly dad or mom ends up pushing me around until they get tired. Which is much too quickly, I might add.

Boo! Halloween #2

Scary, huh? Last night I was a fire-breathing dragon for Halloween (see Shrek I and II). Wait, or am I a dinosaur? It doesn't matter that much as I pulled in quite a haul trick-or-treating. I did the best while making my rounds at the College with my buddies Aubrey and Kensie. By the time I hit the neighborhood I was spent. Dad thinks he slipped one by me by hiding my all my candy (except a sucker and some oreo bites) while I was sleeping, but I know it's in the empty trash can behind the file cabinet in the office. I actually said "trik-treat" last night as well as 'thanku.' U would be very proud of me.

Here I am at my last stop of the night, visiting my buddy Jack. Sam didn't make it into the picture.

Caped crusader

No, I was not Superman for Halloween. I'm much too smart for that. These are my favorite jammies and I get to wear them at least once a week instead of once a year! You think I look tough now, just imagine my muscles of steel in the morning as dad tries to change me back into Clark Kent, mild-mannered toddler. Nothing doing, Lois.

Actually, my 1st 2nd birthday party

Lucky me. I got to celebrate my birthday a month early in Florida with Grandpa, Nana and the Cogley clan. Check out my cool Nemo hat. It's may favorite and it's the first hat I've actually worn (by my own volition). Actually, I've watched my Nemo DVD like, maybe, 600 times. Mom knows it word for word. Dad can't stand Nemo's dad, Marlin. Brucey, Anchor and Chum are my favorite characters...next to Nemo of course.

My birthday dinner

Check out my birthday dinner. As you can tell, I'm a heathy eater. Peas, mac & cheese, carrots and lettuce (with Italian) are my favorites. Thanks to Grandma Reichert for flying in to celebrate and to prepare my big meal. I didn't have a big party this year. I think that had more to do with mom and dad wanting to keep it low-key than my desire to party at Chuk-Cheese. Maybe next year.

Henry's 2nd birthday party

Meet my buddy, Henry. We're in the same class together and we're great friends. What's really cool is that we're the same age and our birthdays are only one day apart. We've now celebrated every single birthday of our entire lives together. Here we are at Henry's birthday party. Meredith and Jack were there, too. It was a lot of fun. God bless the good eats and the watermelon!

Hanging with Mommy

Little Ella took this picture of Repp and his Mom enjoying a sunny day July 4th weekend. Usually quite fearless, Repp was a bit apprehensive regarding swimming this summer. He came close to jumping in when the Zhou boys took the plunge during their visit. With Ella not yet ready to tread water, Repp was content to point, chew his ninny, and bark orders to the captain.

July 4th Visitors

Our good friends from Tuscaloosa, Brad, Cynthia, and Ella, stopped in for a July 4th weekend visit. Ella scarcely remembered her first meeting with Repp which took place soon after she was born. Ella loved boating... as long as the boat was moving. Leave it to Dad to bust the prop which almost spoiled the fun. Repp and his folks hope little Ella (and her folks) will visit again next summer.

Changes from Easter

We never posted an Easter pic, so here is Repp on an egg hunt. He's looking for goodies under the flowers Grannie Reichert planned on her last trip. More than anything, the pic shows how much he has changed since April '06.

Head west young man

Although we've already been on our trip, this pic shows Repp preparing to "see and been seen" in sunny California--where cool shades are essential fashion. He's going to San Francisco, Monterey Bay, Hearst Castle, Santa Barbara, and Napa. More pics to come.

Standin' Tall

This spring we had some trees cut down in the front yard. Afterward, Repp ventured forth to survey the work. "Hmm... this wood of the earth will provide warmth in the frosty season," he said. Lucky for us there was plenty of big limbs left over...and they are still where the tree guy put them. Maybe we can talk Repp into helping his dad transport the wood to the fireplace.

"Kra-ker"

This is a pic taken by Repp's teacher to showcase his new haircut. We still haven't gotten over how different he looks. Last night we went to "Bedtime" reading night at the public library. Lots of fun and I think the adults got more out of the stories than did the kids. Repp sat and mostly listened as there was much distraction caused by the other kids. His vocabulary is expanding daily. His new saying is "oh jeez."

Wagon trails

My new wagon (Christmas 2005) was finally ready to roll this weekend. Can you guess that my dad is a Reichert? It's the biggest Radio Flyer they make. As you can tell, I have to put my weigh into pulling it. Thanks Nana. Dad put the finishing touches on it because I kept wanting to play with the terminte-eaten recycle wagon. If you've seen it, you'll know that my new wagon is quite the upgrade.

New do

"Witness my first haircut as a human being. Don't I look good? Dad says my coiff went from the 1970s to the 1960s. I'm not sure what he means but my temperature has dropped 10 degrees. Thanks, mom!"

Keep on truckin'

Yet another priceless pic taken by Grammy. It appears that Repp is trying on someone's shoes. Repp loves wearing his mother's and father's shoes. He doesn't get very far, but his feet occupy more space each month. Currently, he's enjoying his black knock-off Crocs. Recently, some woman commented on his cute "gardening" shoes.

Smile!

We've finally made it. We had a pool installed in our backyard this weekend. Actually, Jill bought a little pool for Repp, and blew it up herself. Big time fun for the little guy. If that wasn't enough, the little guy spent some time in Aubrey's pool where, as reports suggest, he left some evidence of his presence.

Repp's school year is winding down. He'll be moving into the toddler room (right across the hall) in August. His favorite hamster, Ginny, will be there to jump anxiously as Repp raps his cage.

A happy boy

"Nothing could be finer, than to stack a bunch of creamer, on the ta--ble." Grammy caught this great expression of accomplishment at the Berryman where Repp was showing off his new-found stacking skills.

Repp is mister word mimic these days. He says things like "trac-or" and "kit-ky" in addition to occassionally calling his dad "ma, ma." He's also able to run a little bit faster, jump some, and dance. He went on four boat rides this past weekend but, unlike last year, doesn't want to get in the water. His friends Alex and Albert Zhou jumped off the back of the boat, and, not to be outdone, Repp got really close, but decided against it at the last minute. "Nooo."

Hello Mr. Ed

Some of you may recognize this horse. Yes, he's the one occassionally spotted behind the Berryman restaurant in Bowman, GA. Repp has a good eye for critters. His favorites are ants, birds, goats (in Hartwell), and, of course, dogs.

Boat ride

During Pappy and Grammy's visit in early May, all went for a boat ride on Lake Hartwell. In this picture Repp is fulfilling his duties as navigator. Repp's Nana Eiffert sent Repp a brand new Class II life preserver. He's looking forward to wearing it Memorial Day weekend.

Tough crowd

Yes, Repp runs with a tough crowd. Mess with one and you mess with them all. Frivolity and plain ol' goofing off are not class values. Notice that Repp is protected by his twin bodyguards Danny and Nicky. "This is a class where men are men and women are just as serious," head teacher Tricia was reported as saying. "I don't mess too much with this, um, pack."

Dad's little helper

Leaves in our yard are an ongoing adventure. In between play-time on the slide and kicking the ball, Repp would help his father rake leaves. Maybe this fall he will be ready for full-time rake duty.

Pass it down

Repp is wearing the same outfit his Great Grandaddy Reichert wore when he was a little boy. Everything fits, even the outfit, except around the middle.

Meeting Ms. Lilly

In addition to Ms. Ella, Repp met his new friend Ms. Lilly while in Tuscaloosa. It was his last stop and both were very tired, but truly enjoyed sharing a meal and a little playtime. In this picture, Lilly is sharing with Repp a very interesting tale. Fortunate for Repp, he now has at least five similarly aged female friends to visit. He hopes that trend continues.

Grandma's Play Date

Grandma Reichert came to watch Repp in April 2006. They played ball (see picture), planted flowers, went on a field trip to the vet school, partied with "the men," and strolled the streets of Five Points.

Visiting the Grandparents

During Repp's 2006 Spring Break sojourn, he was able to scoot away one afternoon to visit Grandpa and Nanna Eiffert. Repp enjoyed exploring the garden as well as the delicious dinner. Here he is being man-handled by Grandpa. Word is that Repp is partial to the St. Louis Cardinals (Eiffert favorites), but his dad has other plans.

New friends

Repp recently traveled to his birthplace, Tuscaloosa, to meet some new friends. Here he is saying "hello" to Ella Emiline, the daughter of Cynthia and Brad. Repp commented on her beauty and perfect features. Since meeting Ella, Repp has often been heard to say, "Guh." We know he'll be long-time buddies with Ms. Ella.

1st Birthday

The big "one" happened a few months ago--hey, we're catching up--but the pics are priceless. He wasn't crazy about the "G" cake. It must be that those born in T-town will always struggle in other SEC college towns.

No Cowboys in GA?

Looking sharp in his western shirt, Mr. Repp is styling with the "in" crowd. Currently, Repp is running around the house. He's walking to the the car in the morning instead of being carried. It takes a while and he's easily distracted, but it's pretty cool. He sends his best to all the folks.

Mr Quaker Oats

Here is Mr. Repp hanging at the lake after a refreshing bath. He's wearing his beloved red slippers, a favorite gift from Grammy. He is hanging with his bud Elmo; at a silent auction dear ol' dad had to outbid a grandmother for the furry friend.

Repp's Big Spring Break Trip 2006

Repp was lucky enough to visit both sets of grandparents on his first spring break trip. He ate and slept well, visited with his uncle Adam and aunt Sarah, and had loads of fun with Hermann and Missy. His travels took him to the state capitol and the Shriner Circus.
