Turning the big 4...

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me. Man, I had a great birthday party. I teamed up with Henry and Meredith, all our birthdays are in September, to have a mega-bash at Memorial Park. Most of our friends were there. Everybody played on the swings, and ran around, and ate cupcakes! If birthdays are like this, I can't wait to turn five.

Me and bubs

Hey, we do "clean up" every now and then. Don't we look fine?

Hanging with Mom

So, do I look like my mom or not? The fair skin and blond hair are in our favor but I think my nose looks like dad's. We were at the beach this summer hanging with Nana and Grandpa and the Cogley clan. Lots of fun but a little rainy toward the end. Can't wait until next summer!

Wrestling with Amauri

Meet my best friend from "All-Sports" class, Amauri. There were only three of us in the class and the other boy was not there much. Amauri and I became good friends. She can run hurdles much better than me, but we shoot baskets about the same. I think she is one year older than me. Actually, I think I hurt her ankle right after this picture was taken. Then I got to do all the sports by myself for the last class. Sorry, Amauri.

Dawgs #1

Trust me, we're going to run the table. LSU, Florida, Auburn and Tech better watch it because the dawg train is rolling through. Then Texas better watch it. Dad says ultimate BCS match would be UGA vs. Mizzou. Could still happen.

Tater Tot sends her love

My first girlfriend, Tater Tot, sent me these gorgeous pics. I will print them and post them in my cubby. I tell you, Tatum, McPhaul just isn't the same without you. I hear you will be back for Christmas. Let's be sure to spend lots of time together. You won't believe how big little Hinny has gotten. He's grown a lot since we used to call him Chicken. Though little Mer-Mer still does call him that.

Caped crusaders

E-Gads, Robin, another call for help. Just another day in the Classic City metropolis, running down kicked balls and missing passies. Thank goodness for Commissioner Phillip and Sargent Dina or we would bored crime fighters.

Looking forward to Halloween. Nana sent us our wonderful outfits. Don't we look good? I love to sleep wearing my Batman belt. Hinny kind of likes his outfit. Trick or treat!

Giddyup

Every knight needs a sturdy and reliable steed. Hence mine, Sam. He missing a few legs but I help him out when I can. Again, another example of our roleplaying during Knights and Castles week.

Knightly Prince

Harken there. Who ventures forth unto yon playscape? Ha! It is thee, Sir Repp.

We sent a good week roleplaying and learning about castles, dragons, and knights. Mr. Phillip even secured, I'm still not sure how he did it, a six-foot knight in shining armor. Expect to see some pirate pics as that is what we focused on last week. This coming week we are studying MUMMYS! It was a class vote, and even the girls voted for mummys!

Go Dawgs, Go!

Look at me! I'm getting ready for the big game. I'm strutting my stuff on UGA's football practice field, the actual place where the #1, oh wait, #3, I mean, #10 ranked Dawgs drill and get ready for their big SEC foes. I have a cool teaching assistant who knows some football players. She has the 'in' that got me and my classmates some practice time.

Fire Station #1

See me squeeze Hinny as we sit on the front bumper of a really big firetruck. We're attending Kinsey's cool birthday party held at Fire Station #1 in downtown Athens. They throw a great party. I got to see where the firemen sleep, eat, and meet. Right when they were showing us how a fireman puts on his suit, the bells went off. It was a real, live fire! And the men had to get dressed (quickly) and leave. Lots of bells and buzzers. Hinny was scared.

Boys in cars

Watch out Kroger shoppers! Me and bubbs are NASCARing down the aisles.

Finally, I have a co-driver. So what if he sucks a ninny and wears a onesy? He's got my back. Shake and Bake, brother!

Graduation day

Yep, if you've been to my brother's website, you know I graduated today. Moving up from "older toddler" class to the newly created "3-4 year old" class. Going to be hanging with some older boys and girls. Mr. Philip is my new lead teacher. He seems cool and my classroom will be much bigger. But... I definitely will miss my teachers, Ms. Saundra, Ms. Dina, and Ms. Tricia, and all my peeps. As you can see, I'm pretty torn up about it. Had to have mom read me a story to refocus my energies.

Dance video

Dad is posting some new video of my dancing ability. Check it out.

Watching fireworks

Man, July 4th is a kid's dream come true. Watermelon. Cheeseburgers. Swimming. Hanging with peeps. And fireworks! Got to see them up close at the Frick's house this year. See me with Mel, Zack, and Colin. Dad got to light a couple of smoke bombs. Um, mom says that dad doesn't need a match to explode smoke bombs around the house. Not sure what that means just yet. Also got to visit with Grandma and Papa over the holiday. Pics to come. Keep in touch.

America's Most Wanted

Yes, we are very much "wanted" and loved. Hopefully none of us will become that kind of "wanted." Here is are my wonderful school buddies from this year. We've had a great time. How they got all of us to be still to take this picture, I'll never know.

We appreciate our great teachers; Ms. Dina, Mrs. Saundra, and Ms. Trisha. They've taught be lots of stuff this year, like hitting a baseball, appreciating books, manners, everything that's involved with camping, etc. I'm going to be moving into the 3-4-year-old class in August. Some of us will with staying in the 3-year-old class.

School pictures are in

Hey everybody, isn't life grand? All is good. I'm loving life as you can tell from my happy face. This is my school pic from Spring 08 (grandparents should expect to receive one in the mail before too long). Hope to see everyone soon. Just swimming, reading books, going to the movies with Dad, looking at dead snakes, and squishing ants.

Pele, watch out!

Here I am accepting the end-0f-season trophy from my soccer coach Scott Reynolds. He was a great coach. He actually coaxed me onto the field so I could push everyone over in my pursuit for the ball. I kicked one goal this year; well, one for our team and one for the other team. It was a great learning experience and we'll get it going again next season.

My baby bro

My little brother, Hinton, is turning five months old in a few days. Can you believe how late I am posting a picture of us the day after he was born. Here we are with mom. Nothing like a boy's love for his momma.

I really don't think too much about Hinton's age or Hinton for that matter. But I do know that my birthday is in September. And that I will be this old (holding up four fingers).

Snakes on campus!

Last week we took a field trip to see some really cool animals. Mr. Matt captured a couple shots of me snake-handling. In one pic I have a baby python and in the other pic I'm holding a corn snake. Mr. Matt said I was all over the baby alligator. Lots of other creepy crawly animals as well. Fun!

Chased by a big scary hand!

Here I am helping Mel escape from a big mean scary hand that was chasing us. You can see it when it appears on the screen. It belongs to Steve, Mel's dad. We're making the loop on one of the two-kid trikes at school. Lots of fun. Life is good and I'm living large.

Checking out Winterville's Fire Truck

Here I am checking out the Winterville fire truck! It was very cool. I even got to go for a ride around the square. My teacher's husband is the fire chief and me and Mer, Little John, BB, and Lauren got a special invite to visit the station. The truck holds 1000 gallons of water. When the big hose is running full tilt, the truck will run through it's water in 1 1/2 minutes. Amazing.

Dad got to shoot one of the smaller hoses. It amost knocked him off his feet.

Watching some Curious George

Just catching the 7 - 7:30 AM episodes of Curious George. Then Clifford from 7:30 - 8 AM. My morning ritual while Dad reads the paper, takes a shower, and eats breakfast. As you can tell, Dad wasn't turning on the heat this morning.

Let it snow!

Look at me playing in the snow! I'm 3 1/2 years old and I've never played in the snow until today. I did see some actual flakes a couple of months ago, but mostly I've only read about snow in books or seen it on TV.

I'm staying with Grandma and Papa in Missouri. The Weather Channel said there might be as much as 8 inches of snow. What a great way to top off a trip to the midwest. Next week is Disney World and Sea World in Florida!

Now, who next can I sucker into pulling me around on the sled?

KG -- better watch out

Kevin Garnett, I don't care that you've been traded to the Celtics, I can lay one in from outside the "toe." Actually, I'm starting to make a basket or two per token these days. Here I am shooting for "toe" at dad's and my favorite haunt, Chuck E. Cheese. There's actually a basket in the ol' shoe, but believe me, hitting it isn't as easy as it looks. Now that I think about it, dad and I haven't been to CC since little brother was born. We'll have to do something about that. Until then...

Hanging with my movie star pal

Justing hanging with my good pal Aubrey. Here we are at the park enjoying some time together. Good to stretch those muscles and get some playtime. We're taking a break from some big-time play at a big-time park for people our age. It has castles and bridges and swings. This semester Aubrey and I are in the same gymnastics course. She's much better than me but we have a good time.
