July 4th Visitors

Our good friends from Tuscaloosa, Brad, Cynthia, and Ella, stopped in for a July 4th weekend visit. Ella scarcely remembered her first meeting with Repp which took place soon after she was born. Ella loved boating... as long as the boat was moving. Leave it to Dad to bust the prop which almost spoiled the fun. Repp and his folks hope little Ella (and her folks) will visit again next summer.

Changes from Easter

We never posted an Easter pic, so here is Repp on an egg hunt. He's looking for goodies under the flowers Grannie Reichert planned on her last trip. More than anything, the pic shows how much he has changed since April '06.

Head west young man

Although we've already been on our trip, this pic shows Repp preparing to "see and been seen" in sunny California--where cool shades are essential fashion. He's going to San Francisco, Monterey Bay, Hearst Castle, Santa Barbara, and Napa. More pics to come.

Standin' Tall

This spring we had some trees cut down in the front yard. Afterward, Repp ventured forth to survey the work. "Hmm... this wood of the earth will provide warmth in the frosty season," he said. Lucky for us there was plenty of big limbs left over...and they are still where the tree guy put them. Maybe we can talk Repp into helping his dad transport the wood to the fireplace.

"Kra-ker"

This is a pic taken by Repp's teacher to showcase his new haircut. We still haven't gotten over how different he looks. Last night we went to "Bedtime" reading night at the public library. Lots of fun and I think the adults got more out of the stories than did the kids. Repp sat and mostly listened as there was much distraction caused by the other kids. His vocabulary is expanding daily. His new saying is "oh jeez."

Wagon trails

My new wagon (Christmas 2005) was finally ready to roll this weekend. Can you guess that my dad is a Reichert? It's the biggest Radio Flyer they make. As you can tell, I have to put my weigh into pulling it. Thanks Nana. Dad put the finishing touches on it because I kept wanting to play with the terminte-eaten recycle wagon. If you've seen it, you'll know that my new wagon is quite the upgrade.

New do

"Witness my first haircut as a human being. Don't I look good? Dad says my coiff went from the 1970s to the 1960s. I'm not sure what he means but my temperature has dropped 10 degrees. Thanks, mom!"

Keep on truckin'

Yet another priceless pic taken by Grammy. It appears that Repp is trying on someone's shoes. Repp loves wearing his mother's and father's shoes. He doesn't get very far, but his feet occupy more space each month. Currently, he's enjoying his black knock-off Crocs. Recently, some woman commented on his cute "gardening" shoes.

Smile!

We've finally made it. We had a pool installed in our backyard this weekend. Actually, Jill bought a little pool for Repp, and blew it up herself. Big time fun for the little guy. If that wasn't enough, the little guy spent some time in Aubrey's pool where, as reports suggest, he left some evidence of his presence.

Repp's school year is winding down. He'll be moving into the toddler room (right across the hall) in August. His favorite hamster, Ginny, will be there to jump anxiously as Repp raps his cage.

A happy boy

"Nothing could be finer, than to stack a bunch of creamer, on the ta--ble." Grammy caught this great expression of accomplishment at the Berryman where Repp was showing off his new-found stacking skills.

Repp is mister word mimic these days. He says things like "trac-or" and "kit-ky" in addition to occassionally calling his dad "ma, ma." He's also able to run a little bit faster, jump some, and dance. He went on four boat rides this past weekend but, unlike last year, doesn't want to get in the water. His friends Alex and Albert Zhou jumped off the back of the boat, and, not to be outdone, Repp got really close, but decided against it at the last minute. "Nooo."
